.
Mummy is loading up several trays of fresh green beans and carrots in the food dehydrator today. In a day or two we should have a few bags of nutritious snacks. Have you ever tried doing this yourself? Of course you can always feed us FRESH green beans and carrots but if you DEHYDRATE them… they will stay good much longer in a baggie. It is best to never feed us CANNED green beans as they have preservatives in them and waaaayyy too much salt for us. So if you want a really perfect snack for us little doggies, just pick up a few fresh green beans! Carrots are high in sugar so we don’t get as many of those… so use those cautiously if you have an overweight pup or one with sugar issues. A food dehydrator can be purchased very inexpensively… don’t get anything fancy. You just need an ON/OFF switch. You can dehydrate LOTS of things… from meats to fruits to veggies. They will shrink up to a teeny, tiny size when completely dried… and make sure the item is ALL DRY before turning off the machine. It will be crunchy, like a cracker! So stop buying those bad snacks at the grocery store and make your own ONE INGREDIENT snacks!
YUMMY… I can almost taste these snacks right now!
LOOKS YUMMY!!
They will be! These are soooo easy to make and healthy too… SCORE!
Your mummy is the best! Thanks for sharing!
KISS KISS!
Wow! Healthy treats will be so yummy! Your Mommy always thinks about how to keep her fur kids safe and healthy! Enjoy!
Thank you… giving your pups healthy snacks is really easy and doesn’t have to be expensive!
Wow what a Great idea. I never thought about this for our dogs. You all have an Amazing Mommy. Thank you Millie LaRue for sharing.
I hope that you will give it a try. Youcan dehydrate soooo many nutritious things and give your furbaby ONE INGREDIENT snacks!!! They are soooo much healthier than that grocery store garbage with ingredients that AREN’T EVEN FOOD!!!
That sounds like a great idea. I think I will buy one. Hope you all are doing well.
Great… your furbabies will love the snacks! Don’t spend a lot of money on one… just get something very basic!!!
You girls have such good parents! We use green beans and occasional carrots
ar our house too! Have a wonderful afternoon!
Ohhh that is great… then you know how yummy they are! KISS KISS

They sound delicious, little Millie! I am sure you and your sisters will enjoy them! I can only give my little DeeAnn snacks from her vet, because she is having tummy issues right now.
Oh I understand… but ask him about fresh green beans. There is nothing wrong with fresh veggies!
I will! Thank you, sweet little Millie!!! 😘
Yummy 😋
Yes! Yummy yummy in our tummies!
Glad you babies have snacks God bless you
We never run out of snacks! We also like to buy special snacks from GOOD DOG GOODIES on FB. Ms Lori Payne makes special snacks using only wholesome ingredients… she makes everything herself! She also dehydrates several snacks!!!
Thank you for the great idea!! I had never even thought about dehydrated green beans for a treat for my babies!
It is just the PERFECT SNACK! You can also give them raw… but if you dehydrate them, they will keep longer!
We’re going on a vacation soon that sounds like a really good idea. It doesn’t take up as much room in the motor home. They don’t have be refrigerated do they? This is a great idea. Daisy, Lucy and their mommy. 💖
No… you do not have to refrigerate them. Just make sure that they are SUPER DRY before taking them out. They will be shriveled up to a little green string since all of the moisture is removed… but the vitamins are all retained. You want them to be CRUNCHY so that NO MOLD grows on any moisture!!!! Just remember that even though it won’t seem like you are giving them very much… since they are all shriveled up… every one you give is ONE GREEN BEAN!!!
yummy yummy mommy is good to your tummies 💜💜💜💜
Yes… very healthy!
Thank you so very much for sharing the dehydrator idea. Our girl loves many types of veggies and fruit. What brand is yours, please, and are you happy with it?
Mine is actually a “pet” dehydrator by OPEN COUNTRY. It was a gift to me many years ago from a dear friend. I have been very happy with it. It has 4 trays and only an ON/OFF switch. No fancy gadgets. It is not just for pet stuff but that is what is was for… but you can dehydrate ANY food in it.
Much appreciated, I’ll look to see if it’s still available. :>)
Wow. Thanks for the tip Millie. Looks so yummy
It is such an easy way to make nutritious dried snacks for your furbaby.
we have a garden so our 6 yorkies have fresh gr beans but will have to try the dehydrator.
they love apples and carrots too. I see some people give them watermelon, no seeds of course.. have you tryed that..?
Ohhhh ours love watermelon… especially MILLIE!!! Lololol
Best kind of snacks for doggies!!🥕🍠
Yes they are… fresh fruits and veggies are the best! Even dehydrated meats are good… make your own jerky bites!
Thank you . We were thinking of buying a dehydrator and now we are
convinced. Mom says carrots are a favorite of mine, but I don’t like green beans. Maybe extra crunchy ones will be more to my taste. Hollywood the yorkie.
You will love it! We have dehydrated strawberries and blueberries too… although the blueberries shrivel up to such a tiny size! We did pineapple bites too!!! Those were hard to get to dry thoroughly but we kept them refrigerated to stay fresh until they were all gone. Next time Mummy will try and make thin pineapple SLICES instead of chunks… that might work better.
Wow I bet they would be yummy for people also. Happy munching
Ohhhh sure! Not only can the pups eat the dried fruit but the PARENTS can eat it too!!! Lolololol
Oh boy Millie they sound and look delicious. Mommy is always giving you girls lots of healthy food. Enjoy those goodies, I love you 🥰🥰
Thank you so much… we are sending our love and kisses right back! 😘❤️🐶
Thanks for the reminder. I keep
Forgetting that I have a dehydrator. Our pups love everything we make in it! Hugs
Lololol sometimes those big things get put away and we forget about them but they are great for making so many things for our pups… and for humans too!
That is a great tip, not only for dogs but also for humans. Thanks a bunch.
Yes! Pups and humans can both enjoy things made with the dehydrator!!!
Save some for me
Lolololol we might eat them all before you can get here!!!
Thank you for sharing! Looks yammy❤️
They will be delicious. The flavor is great when dehydrated!
Roxie would love these. She loves her veggies and they would be perfect snack. Going on the look out for a dehydrator. Thanks for this great tip for snacks
Wonderful!!! Let me know how you both like it… it makes great dried snacks for people too!!!
THE PICTURE IS COLORFUL AND HAS A GOOD COMPOSTITION. HOWEVER, NEITHER MY MASTER NOR I LIKE VEGGIES, WHICH IS THE BANE OF MY MISTRESS/MY MASTER’S WIFE.
Oh gosh! I thought that tortoises LOVED VEGGIES! I picture you chomping on lettuce and beans and carrots!
Mmmmmm they will taste fabuuuuuuuuuulous ❤️
We just had a few dried green beans this morning for our snack… YUMMY YUMMY IN OUR TUMMIES!!!
They do look delicious 😋
We had a few of the green beans for our morning snack when we woke up today!!! They need a few more hours in the dehydrator to get a little more dry.
What a great idea for the pups and the grands! Thanks for sharing. Researching a dehydrator now…I’ve never used one before! Hugs to you, Mark and your sweet pups!
Hugs back to you too! Let me know how you like using the dehydrator! It is great for pups and people!
That is a great idea. Stay happy & healthy. Thanks, Mummy.
You are so very welcome!
Hi Millie. I never have dehydrated carrots for my babies but they do love them.
You have such a special Mommy to make fresh snacks like this!
Ohhh they would love them! They shrivel up to itsy bitsy little things so be prepared for how small they are! Lololol
Thank you Mille. I will try it!
I have a dehydrator! I asked for one as a Christmas present one year! I got tired of spending a lot of money on dehydrated chicken/beef/liver treats for the kids and they love those…… so then I tried dehydrating some strawberries and bananas for them……. I haven’t ever used it for carrots or green beans (they get frozen green beans as treats) I may have to try those!
Dehydrated meats make perfect snacks and are soooo much better for our babies than ANY grocery store treats… which are ALL VERY BAD FOR OUR BABIES!!!
Great idea! Thank you for the suggestion! I am going to try this out.
I know you and your furbabies will both enjoy the healthy snacks!
This sounds great! I have one that I’ve never used! Need to get that out!
Ohhhh you can make so many yummy things!
Great!! Can’t wait to make some! Thanks!!!
Great! Let us know how you enjoy your new snacks!
Dear Millie and Darcy,
I am lucky to be the nanny for my good friend’s little yorkie, Prissy. Prissy is a normal little girl who loves to eat snacks. Unfortunately, (although she is only 8 years old) she is in the first stages of chronic kidney disease. It’s not her mommy’s fault–she is a sweet rescue from a puppy mill (I KNOW< RIGHT???). Anyway, I love making delicious snacks for Little P when I watch her. Do you have a recommendation for a dehydrator? I’ve never done this before.
Thank you in advance. Hugs and kisses to you all.
Jill
All you need is a very simple one… just get one with an ON/OFF switch and about 4 trays. Don’t get anything complicated. Walmart or Amazon will have what you need.
Thank you Millie!
My group would love it
It is sooo easy to make healthy snacks!
Hi Beautiful Furbabies, those treats look yummy!! Love you Precious Furbabies!!!
Thank you very much! We have really been enjoying them for our morning snack this week!!! YUMMY!!! ❤️🐶❤️
Sounds good
They are really yummy!
Thanks for BBC the info
Our mommy gives us frozen green beans for a snack. They are yummy especially in the heat of Arizona. (Not that we are outdoors very much) Hope y’all are doing wonderful. Hugs…Lolita, Finnegan & Mommy (Brenda)
