Last night Mummy and I tried another new recipe in the slow-cooker… WOW, what a yummy success! You need to try this when you don’t have time to cook. It really only took a few minutes to dump everything into the slow-cooker and then Mummy served it up with a little side salad. The family will really enjoy this… NICE!

SLOW-COOKER MAC & CHEESE

3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (use low fat if desired)
1 1/4 cups shredded provolone cheese (use low fat if desired)
1 1/2 cups low fat milk
1 3/4 cups heavy cream (I will try the no-fat half & half next time)
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 1/4 teaspoons dry mustard
2 1/2 cups dry elbow macaroni
8 ounces low fat sour cream

Combine the cheeses, milk, cream salt, pepper and mustard into your large slow-cooker. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Stir in the macaroni and sour cream and cook on low for 1 1/2 hours and VOILA!
