Several times a day Mummy and I walk through the gardens of the Palais Royal, where I am staying in Paris. One of the interesting things that we have discovered in the garden are these green metal “les confidents” chairs. It took a little investigation but one of the boutique owners was kind enough to tell us more about them, then we researched a bit more… and here is what we found: an artist and sculptor named Michel Goulet took old French park chairs and redesigned them into 10 poetic LOVE SEATS! Each seat faces the other and has a short verse from a poem cut into the back of the chair. Where the chairs are joined together, there is a solar-powered portal where you can plug your headset and listen to the entire poem. Many of them are read by well-known French actors. Goulet said he did this so that poetry would be available to more people! Mummy is searching for her earplug set so that she can try out the LOVE SEAT with little me. Isn’t this just the most romantic idea EVER?!?!?!!! ❤️??????
Thank you so much for sharing and explaining about these loveseats!! I’m sure the poems will be beautiful and about live since they’re loveseats? Millie I’m sure you and Mummy will give us an update on the poems. Thank you for sharing!! ????
How lovely Millie. I would stop there every day for a respite. Love poetry and anything
French. Thanks for sharing.??
Oh how beautiful!! You and mommy will enjoy the poems.
I love how the chairs face each other! Millie, you need some earphones, too!
It’s not exactly the same of course but it reminds me of kissing benches.
Millie: Thank you for sharing all of this wonderful and interesting news with us. Mom needs to get you some earphones too!!!! Have fun and safe travels!!!
Sounds so lovely, I love poetry.
