.

Mummy and Daddy returned to Newport, Rhode Island yesterday to finish up the remaining “cottages” they still needed to tour. We were left behind at the YORKIE EXPRESS because we were NOT WELCOME at any of the “cottages” on the tour. Before Mummy left I asked her to do a little investigating and find out whether the previous owners were dog-lovers or WHAT?!?!?! And here is the PROOF! They had lots of photos taken of themselves with their beloved DOGGIES and several OIL PAINTINGS TOO! The little black papillon in the top picture was named “Hippodale” and his Mummy’s friend painted this portrait of him when he was 6 years old for a Christmas gift! The little miniature bergere chair was CUSTOM MADE FOR HIM to keep in their apartment in Paris… OH MY GOSH!!! (Mummy really WANTED THAT LITTLE CHAIR!!!) One of the “cottages” had a tiny little pet cemetery with marble headstones next to a rose garden, and one of them was engraved with the name “Hercules.” Soooo sad! SEE…. THEY DID LOVE DOGGIES!!!! It’s the dumb historical society people who are making these crazy anti-dog rules!!!! At least we can rest better knowing that doggies once ran thru those magnificent marble halls… and pee pee’d on the oriental rugs… and maybe even pooped in the corner of the dining room when someone forgot to take them outside… and we know that happy little doggies, who were loved and spoiled, lived in those grand homes, so now we are happy!  ?❤️?

So Glad you were able to get the Real story on the Furbabies of that place. Those Historical Society people are such snobs. It’s a Shame. They don’t know what they are missing out on. You girls are very well behaved and would not have hurt their precious house. Loving Hugs

So glad that was proven! A house, cottage, castle, airstream just isn’t home till little doggies live in them!

Starting to wonder if dogs were more “respected” back in those days than they are now. A house is not a home without some pee-pee sprinkled carpets and flying hair balls!!! Hahaha…Wish Mummy could get you that little chair though.

I bet thatyou could take your little doggie anywhere back then! The government stayed OUT of all THAT kind of stuff.

When I visited Newport a few years ago I did see some of these little “cottages”. I am so glad there were loving owners of sweet doggies that had lived there. Yes doggies should be allowed to visit when they are as well behaved as you Millie. You are a world traveler and very experienced in having good manners.

Well I don’t understand why doggies in strollers aren’t allowed it’s not like you’d even touch their precious cottage stuff anyway! I bet KIDS are allowed! Doesn’t seem fair if you ask me! ohhhhhh you so needed that little chair! HOW ADORABLE!!! I can see you sitting in it now! You’d have to share with your sisters! LOL

Well, in their defense, NO STROLLERS were allowed in any of the homes… not even for babies! The parents had to CARRY THEIR KIDS… lololol. So… there’s that. But… Mummy DID want that little chair! ???

It did get a little congested in some of the hallways with so many people touring the homes… so perhaps it IS just a safety issue!

Not all doggies are as special and well behaved as you girls – that is problem why they have those rules. However, it is good to know they had doggies —I do not know what I would do without my Wilson.??❤️

That’s true… it’s hard to know how lots of doggies will act when they get together in a group so I guess they need to err on the side of caution.

Oh Millie, I KNEW it! At the turn of the (19th to 20th) century people LOVED little doggies!!! Everyone had some, really! It’s just the silly, silly 2019 historical societies that “prohibit” you special ones from touring these places. I wish I could change these ridiculous rules for you and your sisters, right?
