Quiche is for EVERYONE!  It is easy to make and a great COMFORT FOOD.  You can eat it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  This is easy and yummy and you will love making it!

Double Cheese & Bacon Quiche

1 9-inch deep dish pie crust (unbaked)

5 large eggs

1 1/2 cups half and half

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

1 Tablespoon dried minced onions

1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup shredded Gruyere cheese

1/2 cup shredded white Cheddar cheese

1/2 package (2.8 oz) REAL BACON pieces (I use Oscar Mayer)

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together your eggs, half and half, thyme, parsley, minced onions, pepper and salt.  Add in the cheeses and the bacon pieces.  Pour into an unbaked pie shell and place on a baking sheet.  Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until it is a golden brown.  The center should bubble up just a tiny bit…this lets you know the center has cooked.  Remove from oven and let rest for about 15 minutes to complete the cooking process and let the custard mixture set up.  Slice and serve with some fresh fruit for a really yummy meal!

Bone appetit!
