Mummy is always looking for easy and nutritious recipes for us doggies…and sometimes she just invents her own. We needed a healthy snack that our oldest doggie Elvis could enjoy without too much chewing because he has lost most of his teeth. This tiny little doggie cookie is just perfect because it’s soft and easy for him to eat…and healthy for us too! She didn’t want to fool around with having to roll out dough and cut out shapes…we want our snacks NOW…so this dough is just scooped into a large piping bag…no tip is even required, just use the hole in the bottom of the piping bag…and start piping out little tiny dots. In the blink of an eye…you will be snacking on these yummy morsels. I hope you enjoy them….kiss kiss

CRANBERRY-PUMPKIN DOGGIE DOTS
.
3/4 cup organic brown rice flour
3/4 cup organic whole wheat flour
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 15-ounce can pure pumpkin (NOT the pumpkin pie filling stuff)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon Mexican Vanilla (you can find this in my little boutique…wink wink)
1 12-ounce package fresh cranberries boiled in 2 cups water
1/2 cup organic non-fat milk powder
1/4 cup liquid from the cranberry reserve
.
Boil your fresh cranberries in a medium-sized pot of water until they are all soft and popped open…reserve the liquid. You will need 1/4 cup of this liquid for the recipe. Drain the cranberries from the juice and set aside.
Add all of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl and blend together until everything is well combined. Get out your piping bag…I used a 14-inch size…and fill it 1/2 full. On a baking pan lined with a silpat mat, and ALSO sprayed lightly with cooking spray, start piping small dots (about the size of a quarter) onto your pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool on a wire rack before feeding to your doggie. You will need to keep these in your refrigerator in a plastic baggie or tuperware container because there are NO preservatives in them and they will quickly mold if you leave them sitting out.
