.
Mummy has been concerned about us lately. As we are all aging, the stairs that we use to get onto the big sofa have become DIFFICULT for most of us to use. She could tell that it was painful for us to hop onto the steps and then onto the sofa. Last week she ran across a video for this “ALPHA PAW” doggie ramp and decided to give it a try. They were having a special and then there was an additional $35 discount code… so it came to about $124. Yes, that is a bit pricey but Mummy says it is cheaper than taking us to the vet for hip problems and pain medication… so she decided to give it a try. I am the only one home right now because Mummy has been recovering and Daddy took my sisters with him when he had to leave for work… so I have been trying it out. It only took me a few tries to get the hang of it and it DOES seem to work much better than the steps! Mummy is anxious to see what everyone else thinks about it. If you have problems with STAIRS… this RAMP might be for you!!! It is 40” long and we have it set up at 16” tall which is the second lowest setting. The higher you go… the steeper the ramp. The surface is covered in a ribbed-like carpeting so you don’t slip. Mummy is going to experiment and move it up to the 20” height which will be STEEPER, but then there won’t be a little JUMP at the top in order to get onto the sofa… we can just step right off!!! I can see that I will be getting my “STEPS” in today… but it’s so EASY, even a caveman can do it!
I think I may need to get my daddy to make one for me! He loves making stuff and is good at it. I don’t tell mummy but it’s getting harder for me to get up on our couch. Must be my furry feet🤣🤣
Ohhhh if your Daddy can make things then I think this would be perfect for you!!! It doesn’t look too complicated! The ALPHA PAW website should show different pictures for him to make a design from.
That is very nice. It will certainly be easier on the Girls.
I have gone up and down a few times now and Mummy thinks that this will be much better for us. I can’t wait to see how my sisters react to it! I will show them how it’s done!!!
Wonderful, thank you girls. Stay well ♥️🐾
Thank you… so far this is working well!
I have been thinking about these for my babies. i have one that won’t use stairs. just jumps. I would need 2 though. 1 for couch and 1 for bed. will be watching to see have the sisters like it. Feel better mom. hugs and Love.
The ones for the bed are really, really tall. We didn’t check on those because we don’t jump off the bed.
You’re so lucky to have Mummy all to yourself, Millie! Love the ramp. I’ve been thinking of getting one for my girls but I don’t know if I have the room. Hope your recovery is coming along just fine. 😊
The ramp DOES take up some walking space in front on the sofa but it was reaching the point where the stairs were no longer working and we HAD TO TRY the ramp even though it meant it might get in the way a bit. Hopefully Mummy and Daddy will adapt to it. Mummy is all healed up now and back to her normal routine, thank you for asking. 😘❤️😘
Hi Millie – I was just talking to my mommy about this. She noticed that I stopped using the steps to go up, but I can still go down. I think a ramp is coming soon! Kisses! Lucy
We were having trouble going UP as well… it has been getting more and more difficult lately. So far today I have used it several times. Mummy raised it up one notch to make it level with the sofa so that I only need to step off when I get to the top and that is even easier… although the incline of the ramp is steeper… I can still manage it.
That is good to know! I think Lucy’s beginning to feel some arthritis in her back legs… just like Mommy’s knee!
Maybe a ramp might be a good idea to try before things get too difficult for Lucy. But you are the best one to decide when the time is right. There are many brands out there, but this one does seem nice and sturdy and it doesn’t wobble when I walk up.
What a great idea! As long as no one is afraid of heights.
It’s really not much higher than the steps were but it is a completely different way to get onto the sofa… so we are anxious to see how my sisters will react to it when they get home next week.
That’s great love you jumper ,did mummy make that .
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Noooo… she bought it from a company called Alpha Paw. But it seems to be working for me better than the stairs… so GOOD JOB MOM!
That’s such a good idea. Mercedes is 10 and has cataracts. She sleeps more now. I get worried about her too.
♡︎♥︎♡︎♥︎
So far I am doing really well with the new ramp!
Fantastic! I’m going to share with my niece’s pups! They would benefit from this! Thanks
and trust Mommy is continuing to feel better!
Thank you… Mummy is feeling better now and has fully recovered. I am doing great with the new ramp and next week my sisters will get to see it when they get home.
I love it!!! Millie, I had to laugh at first – because that first pic looks like you are scaling a nearly vertical surface! You are a brave and smart girl to check this out first. You can show your sisters when they get home. (side note: I am wondering if your daddy pays them hourly or salary for helping him at work!) xoxoxoxox
Lolololol it IS A LITTLE STEEP but it is also easier than the steps to be honest! So far I am doing pretty good with this ramp… I have needed NO ASSISTANCE. We will see next week how the rest of the crew reacts to it!!!
Keep up the good work! Once you’ve mastered it, then you can teach your sisters how easy it is to do! ❤️❤️❤️🐾🐾
I think that once each pup sees someone else go before her… it will become easier to “follow the leader”.
I made a ramp with 3 boards making the ramp and sideboards. Then screwed a board at one end that’s the height of the sofa. I used an old yoga mat stapled to the floor of the ramp. Sides were needed for one blind dog. I made a bed ramp in the same manner with a longer ramp. Picture wouldn’t load.
This is the sofa ramp, not sure where it will post. It’s purple and pink. Boards were already painted and repurposed.
OMGOSH that is GREAT!!!! Just perfect!!! Good job!!!
That’s awesome!! I bet your pups love it!!
So far I am the only one to try it out. Next week my sisters come home and they are in for a SURPRISE! Lol
WOW!!!!! I would love to see a picture of that!!!!! Mummy had asked Daddy to build a ramp and he just kept ignoring her request so she just bought one… SHEESH… sometimes it is just easier to BUY STUFF!!!
Looks like a great idea!
So far it is working great!!!
Sophi is 14. I switched to ramps when she was 13. She learned fast and now she and my yorkie Greta use them with no problem! They have a small one for the couch and a big one for the human bed. They aren’t cheap, but definitely cheaper than surgery!
Yes… that is what Mummy is thinking. I was doing “OK” with the steps but she could tell that it was becoming painful… and lately Addie Mae has been having some issues, so she thought it might be time to throw out the steps!
Hi Millie
I think mommy’s idea to get ramp is a good one.
I got one for Oliver to put beside the bed. He got use to it very quickly. The other night and was up and down the ramp carrying all his toys to bed. No room left for me but was he happy with himself. What a spoiled little guy
Lololololol I think that we are going to like this ramp much better than the stairs!
Looks great, mommy has good ideas
Thank you! I have gone up and down MANY TIMES today and I think I like it better than the stairs!!!
Been using doggy ramps for years! So much better, especially for older small dogs. PetClassics ramps aren’t cheap either but so worth it! We have 4 in various places! Love them! Great job on conquering that mountain, Millie L!
This is the first time to try them and there are soooo many on the market with such a wide price range that it was hard to know where to begin… so Mummy just took a stab and bought one. We will try this one out and if we all appear to like it then we will get another one for the Lake House.
This sounds like a new adventure for you girls. And a healthy one as well.
Yes… I guess as we get older, things need to change a little bit.
This is what I need for my pup Wiskers as he is getting older and I worry about him jumping down from my bed.
They do make a really tall one that is made for bed heights but we did not get one of those.
That’s great!!!!! So glad that you are using it!!!! You look so adorable too! We love you 😍❤🐾
Thank you… so far it is a success!
Thank you… we will be careful! I think that this will be a lot easier on our little hips. KISS KISS
Love it! ❤️🐾🤗
Thank you very much! KISS KISS
You babies take care going up and down. Miss hearing from you all. Take care and be safe. Loves to all
Thank you… it is much easier for me than the steps.
Teddy and Sidney are not allowed upstairs but have a foot stool to use to get on the settee. But they tend to use it as a trampoline 😂😂 you are very good using it my lovely ❤️❤️
So far it is working out really well for me. My sisters are coming home next week and I am very anxious to see what their reaction to this new ramp will be!!!! Lololol
awwwwwwwwww don’t even TALK about the whole getting older stuff it just can’t happen! I don’t let little Isabella on my bed or couch because I’m so afraid of her falling off and getting hurt….. if she can’t get me to let her down she may just jump and no I don’t want to take a chance and even with a ramp or steps she could try to get down the wrong place. The new little girl I adopted, Trixie is a bit bigger than Isabella and she’s been able to climb up the make shift steps onto the bed… Read more »
Mummy is all recovered now and is up and around the house… good as new. I think this ramp will be a better solution than the stairs we were using. We don’t ever try and jump off anything… we always used the steps before.
Mico has this ramp since November. It’s easy for them to use and much safer for them. Millie you’re so precious and beautiful. 🐾❤️🐾
It is much easier for me than the stairs. Now I will wait and see what my sisters think when they get home tomorrow night!!!
THE RAMP LOOKS LIKE IT MAY BE A GOOD SOLUTION TO HELPING YOU AND YOUR SISTERS GET UP ON THE HIGHER FURNITURE.
PLEASE TELL YOUR MISTRESS THAT THE THREE OF US ARE GLAD TO LEARN SHE IS FEELING BETTER.
HOPE YOUR MASTER IS TAKING GOOD CARE OF HIMSELF.
BEST HISSES,
SNUGGLES ANNE
Thank you so very much. Mummy has recovered and is getting around the house now. The new ramp should help a lot with our problems that we have been having with the stairs too! We hope that you are doing well.
Oh my gracious, our mommy has seen this on Facebook and wondered if any others have tried this company.
She’s looking to order since 2 of the 3 of us are like over 10 years “young”.
Thank you for sharing.❤️🐾😊
That is where she saw the ad… on FB. The quality is nice. If you get one… make sure to find the ad that gives you the code for the additional $35 off!!! That will bring the cost down to about $124 and the shipping is free. It is sturdy and doesnt wobble from side to side because there are two stabilizer boards that lay on the floor that the 2 support bars fit into. Some ramps I have seen DO NOT have those…they only have the support bars that lift the ramp higher… I think these ramps will wobble… Read more »
Way to go Millie!!! You did it! Now you can show your sisters exactly what to do!! I think Mummy made a smart purchase for y’all. You should give her an extra special kiss for thinking of forgoing any problems that may come up. I will pray for Mummy to have a speedy recovery but I know she feels better having an A#1 nurse taking care of her. ❤️❤️❤️🥰
I think the ramp is going to be the answer to our achy joints!!! I can’t wait to see what my sisters think when they see it tomorrow!
I am thinking of replacing our steps as well with a ramp . I worry about hip and back issues too. I’m glad to see one that goes higher. We have a high bed. So happy you are Getting your exercise in Millie❤️
This one does not go high enough for a bed… this is only for a sofa… but THEY DO make a bed model!!!! It is very high! And it has a little railing on it.
That looks great! My mommy has stools all over the house so I can get up to my favorite perches! Maybe I can talk her into one of those awesome ramps!! Hope your Mummy gets well very soon!
We used to be able to jump up on stools but we can no longer jump up like that… so this ramp, I believe, will solve our problems! So far I am doing really well with it!
I think my four will be needing a ramp
Soon. Thx for the tip. I was sorry to read your mom was under the weather. Special hugs to her please Millie🤗
Thank you ms Phyllis… Mummy has fully recovered now and is good as new!
Love this excellent 😍💝
So far it is working out great!
This is great excellent 😍
I am sorry to hear you mum has been sick. I received an email notice but when I clicked on it to read the post I just received a message that either site was down or had been removed. I went back to it today to see if it was up, but received the same message, so I missed a chapter and am just catching up. I am so sorry. I so hope all is well now for your mum and your whole family. I worry about my three girls getting on my high bed. I have an ottoman that… Read more »
We had a recent problem with our website and a few of our past posts were DELETED… YIKES!!!! Mummy was soooo upset because we put soooo much work into our posts and reading/answering the comments but there is no way to retrieve them now. It was just some GOOGLE THING but hopefully it is all fixed now. Mummy has fully recovered and is up and about the house good as new. The ramp is really helping me much better than the stairs were. My sisters will be home tomorrow and can try them out them. I can’t wait to see… Read more »
Hello doll! You have a very smart and loving mummy. I wish everyone had a mummy like yours who takes such good care of them! Miss Trixie has stairs up to the bed, she is 6 now ( so hard to believe!!!) and I know I will need to switch over someday. I have seen the one mummy got you girls and thought that is the one I would need to get. Sorry mummy is still recovery, hope and pray she will back to her pretty self soon. Please give her our love and let her know we are praying… Read more »
Yipppeeeee for TRIXIE! That is wonderful news!!!! Mummy has fully recovered now and is getting around the house good as new. Our new ramp is working great and my sisters will be home tomorrow to see it for the first time!
concur that ramp and dream of going up a mountain. You are so adorable. Take care of mommy and tell her we are praying that she gets better soon. Kisses and hugs from Florida.
Thank you so much… Mummy has fully recovered and is back to new! The ramp is working out great so far!
There are a couple of senior yorkies in our household too. We have been thinking about getting a ramp for ours but were not sure if this would work for them. Glad to hear this is working out for you. Hopefully, your sisters will like it as much as you do.
It is a little bit steep when Mummy puts it at the level where I can just step off at the top of the sofa without having to hop up a few extra inches in order to reach the sofa… but it does seem to be a bit EASIER than the stairs were!!! Tomorrow when my sisters get home we will see what they think! Addie Mae has a bad knee and she has really been having lots of trouble with those stairs so this ramp will be GREAT if it works for her!!!
What an awesome idea how come we haven’t seen this before it makes so much better sense. The only thing Is you have to have the room for it to stick out in the way of two legged people! If we have the room for our babies let’s do it!!!💖 Be careful girls and have fun. 😘You’ll be like young girls again and you won’t have to have Mummy or Daddy help you get up all the time!!❣️❣️
Yes… it is 40” long so it does stick out into the room *sigh* but we had reached the point where the stairs were getting too difficult and another option was needed. So Mummy said they are willing to walk around our new ramp if it helps make things easier for us. 😘❤️🐶
It’s so good that you can maneuver the ramp! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes… I am really doing well with it!
My mom got us one for Christmas to. It’s so easy now to get on couch. She said best investment for her babies
We are all really loving ours too! It is working out GREAT!!! I am happy that you like yours too! KISS KISS
Littlebug says hi am behind on my emails YES aging is not fun
Hello Littlebug! Mummy is ordering a SECOND ramp for our house at the lake because this one is really working out for us!!! It is much easier than the stairs to get up on the sofa with the RAMP!
You mastered the ramp, Millie! Good girl!
We are ALL loving the ramp! Mummy just ordered a SECOND one from ALPHA PAW to use at our LAKE HOUSE because this is working soooo much better than the stairs!!!
Dear Millie LaRue,
I’m so happy that you have a nice ramp to use when you want to climb to the sofa without problems! Your Mummy was smart to find this one for you.I hope your Mummy didn’t have covid! The little girl I babysit for, a sweet yorkie named Prissy, also uses a ramp to get onto the bed. She loves it! I hope you love and your sisters love it too!
Our ramp is working perfectly and Mummy ordered a second one for our lake house! No, Mummy didn’t have COVID. She is all better now and things are back to normal. KISS KISS
My boys love there ramp. My one is having problems getting up on couch. Best investment for my babies
I’m glad you are loving yours too! We even bought a second one to use at our lake house because it is working so well!
We have these Ms. Millie, and Bella Rose and Izzy can shake there little butts up and down on these stairs like pros. We have them for the couch and for our bed upstairs. We love them! ♥️🐾🥰🌸
